Rojia Dadashzadeh
artist and instructor
Bio
Rojia is a Vancouver–based artist. She was born in Iran and moved to Ontario at age eighteen. . She holds an honours degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo, a post-graduate degree in Web and Graphic Design from Sheridan and Le Grand Diploma in cuisine and pastry from Le Cordon Bleu Paris. Rojia has worked for numerous Vancouver based companies from Studio B Productions animation company to Coastal Jazz and Blues Vancouver International Jazz Festival. In 2006 she was granted the best poster design award by Granville Island for the new Olympic 2010 winter art festival, Winterruption. In 2007 she moved to Paris to attend one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world. In Oct 2008 she was chosen to work with the Prime Minister’s private chef for a government function in Ottawa. In August 2008 She represented Canada on Canada day in Trafalgar Square, London, England. Upon her return to Canada in December 2009 she was offered to create greeting cards for a major national Canadian distributor and she is in the process of making 100 designs. Rojia is currently represented by two galleries in Toronto, Art Interiors and Canvas Gallery. She is also an active Vancouver Culture Crawl participant and teaches painting workshops in Vancouver. Her work is in many private collections in Vancouver, Toronto, Tehran, Oslo, California and Portland.
